The Wenlock Arms, 26 Wenlock Road, N1 7TA.
Wenlock Arms

The Wenlock is a beer lovers paradise, easily the best, ''proper'' boozer in North London.

The Oakdale Arms, 283 Hermitage Road, N4 1NP

The Oakdale is an oasis of ale in the desert that is the London borough of Harringey.

The Pembury Tavern, 90 Amhurst Road, E8 1JH

The Pembury was reborn in 2006, having been derelict for some time. Another Milton pub, serving good
beer and good food, with bar billiards as an added attraction.

The Market Porter, 9 Stoney Street, SE1 9AA

Beer heaven just over the river, probably the largest annual turnover of beers in London. House beer is Harvey's Best.

Market Porter

The Royal Oak, 44 Tabard Street, SE1 4JU

More good beer southside. Harvey's only London pub, carrying the full range of their beers and guests from Fullers.

Royal Oak

The Doric Arch, 1 Eversholt Street, NW1 1DN

Formerly The Head of Steam, now owned by Fullers, carrying all their beers and up to 5 guest beers. A pub that shows not all railway station establishments are rubbish.

Doric Arch

Quinns, 65 Kentish Town Road, NW1 2HH

A family run pub far enough away from Camden Market to avoid the tourists. A wonderful selection of  Belgian and German bottled beers, probably the widest in London.

The Star Tavern, 6 Belgrave Mews West, SW1X 7BA

Evening Standard pub of the year 1992, in the GBG since it began, what more can you say? Good beer, good food, very hard  to find though. Look for the German Embassy and it's behind it (oh no it isn't, oh yes it is....)

Star Tavern

The Churchill Arms, 119 Kensington Church Street, W8 7NL

Gerry has been running this pub for over 20 years and has just received his fourth Griffin award (best Fullers pub). The best collection of bedpans, butterflies, chamber-pots and Churchill memorabilia to be found anywhere. Oh, and great Thai food and Fullers beers at their best.

Churchill Arms

O'Ceallaigh,  Gedempte Kattendiep 13, 9711PL Groningen, Netherlands

A proper Irish pub run by Dubliner Peter Kelly and his Dutch wife Evy. This one wasn't shipped out in a container from Ireland but painstakingly put together over the past 15 years. Live music at the weekend and quite possibly during the week too.

O'Ceallaigh

Waterhuis aan de Bierkant, 9 Groentenmarkt, 9000 Gent

Beer Heaven!  Over 200 beers, canalside views, no cars going past, genever bar next door, worth a visit or two or three...

Waterhuis aan de Bierkant
