The Old Fountain serves freshly cooked traditional pub food Monday to Friday from 12 noon until 2.30pm. Everyday the Special board is changed with at least 3 different meals. Everyday the special board will contain at least one homemade soup, which can be had by itself at £2.95 or with a sandwich for £5. The flavours of these soups vary and new varieties are being made regularly. Flavours such as French onion, pea and ham, butternut squash, brocolli and stilton, leek and potato, etc, are often on the special board. Along with the soups on the special board there are a variety of homecooked meals such as, chilli, chicken or beef curry, lasagne, sausage and mash, sheperds pie, various pies, roast dinners and many more. A variety of sandwiches with freshly made fillings are also available including Salt Beef. Freshly cooked to order omelettes are also available with a variety of fillings. Fresh jacket potatoes are available with a variety of fillings. A variety of salads are also available.
